As a member of TPPTA E Board, you will be one of the few that decide the happenings of the organization. Planning for an organization so large is necessary, and each position plays their own role in making each semester possible. Below you will find the application, which is due by the end of March.

Directions for the Application1. Read the "Eboard Position Descriptions" to determine which Executive Board positions you may be interested in!
2. Download and complete the "EBoard Application", answering all questions, attaching a recent picture, and including a short (1/2 to 1 page) letter of intent! 3. Email your completed application as an attachment to [email protected], listing the subject of the email as "TPPTA Eboard Application: your name". After all applications have been received, we will contact you to schedule a short personal interview!

President |
The President is the primary leader of the organization. The goal of the President is to maintain the structure, function, purpose, integrity, and unity of Temple Pre-Physical Therapy Association as a pre-professional health organization. The President schedules general body meetings and executive board meetings during alternating weeks. The President submits room reservations, creates Powerpoints and coordinates guest speakers. The president works closely with the other members of the executive board to run a successful organization. The president also works in collaboration with Temple’s Doctor of Physical Therapy students and other pre-professional health organizations.
You must have a minimum of a year’s experience serving on the Executive Board of TPPTA in order to apply for this position. |
Vice President |
The role of the Vice President is to assist to the President with the recording attendance at general body meetings and the planning of meetings and events. Tasks may include researching speakers, contacting physical therapy graduate programs, and answering e-mails. The Vice President is also responsible for directing the peer mentor program. Leadership, communication, and organizational skills are important for this position.

Secretary |
The Secretary is responsible for sending out emails before and after the general body meetings as well as PPHS emails, including information about events, meeting times/locations, and other important updates about the organization. In addition, the Secretary is responsible for keeping all TPPTA members informed with current information regarding the organization, including meetings and community service events, through the TPPTA website and the TPPTA social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc). The Secretary is responsible for collaborating with the other officers to attain all necessary information. It is the responsibility of the Secretary to attend officer meetings and general body meetings regularly in order to form a reliable link between the general body members and the executive board members.

Treasurer |
The Treasurer is the financial coordinator of the organization. The purpose of the Treasurer is to manage the funding and spending of the organization. The Treasurer is responsible for collecting membership dues, ordering and paying for food or supplies at general body meetings, and paying for any other organization expenses. Responsibility, trustworthiness, and organizational skills are important for this position.

Social Events Chair |
The Social Events Chair has the responsibility of planning and organizing various internal events from conception to completion. This includes recreational events such as Wing Night at Pub Webb and Happy Hour at Tropical Smoothie. The Social Events Chair is responsible for organizing social events for all members, EBoard members exclusively and DPT collaborations. The Social Events Chair should pay close attention to scheduling to maximize attendance. Organizational skills, communication and creativity are important for this role.

Community Servive Co-Chairs (2) |
The Community Service Chair must research and organize volunteer opportunities through local community programs and events. It is the responsibility of the Community Service Chair to share and promote member involvement at each general body meeting and officer meeting. It is also the responsibility of the Community Service Co-Chairs to organize the TPPTA team for Hootathon including fundraising and attending the event. Creativity, time management, and organizational skills are important for this position.

Charity Chair |
The Charity Chair is responsible for creating, planning, and coordinating various fundraisers year-round within our organization. It is also the responsibility of the Charity Chair to organize and recruit members to participate in the blood drive including collaboration with other organizations if needed. This position requires an innovative mind to organize and schedule all fundraising events throughout the year.

TSG Representative/STARS Chair |
The Temple Student Government Representative/STARS Chair is the sole communicator between the organization and Temple Student Government. The purpose of the TSG Representative is to attend weekly TSG meetings in order to receive updates about events, collaborations, and concerns surrounding all student run groups at Temple University. The TSG/STARS Chair is also responsible for meeting all requirements to maintain a 4 star status. Time management and organizational skills are important for this position.
